First, read Before You Begin Network Installation.
To install a shared EndNote program:
Log on to the network (or server) using an administrative account that has full read/write access to the server where EndNote will be installed.
Open the EndNoteX9 Installer.dmg file.
Do not drag the EndNote X9 folder to the server; instead, double-click on the folder.
Run the EndNote X9 file.
On the Volume/Site License Registration page, enter the Licensee information and your volume product key. You must also accept the terms of the volume license agreement. Click Next.
Please wait while the installer creates a new disk image titled EndNote X9 Site Installer.dmg.
Unmount (drag to the Trash) any EndNote disk image other than the EndNoteSite
Installer.dmg, which includes an embedded product license key, drag the entire EndNote X9 folder to the server.
Verify that EndNote is installed correctly, and then set appropriate permissions for the EndNote files and folders.
We recommend that all of the files be set to read-only access, including all of the EndNote content files and folders, to avoid inadvertent changes by users. Content folders include Connections, Filters, and Styles.
You need to Share the EndNote program. If EndNote is not installed on a shared drive or folder, see your Macintosh OS documentation for information about sharing files and folders.
Next, users must connect and configure individual workstations for the shared EndNote program.
